Statista Market Insights forecasts show that "hardware resources that enable connectivity to wired and wireless networks, communications, operations and management as well as network and Internet access" will be worth about $192 billion in 2023.
With a market share of 27 percent in the network infrastructure sector, Huawei outperformed its European and U.S. competitors by a margin of 10 percent or more in 2020.
The Chinese company has been at the forefront of developing powerful 5G technology for some time, although some countries such as the United States have imposed a ban on export licenses, banned or strongly advised against selling Huawei smartphones.
