The Governor of Giza, Major General Ahmed Rashid, Vice President of the General Union and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce in Giza, MP Adel Nasser, President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture in Libya, Mohamed Al-Raed, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Benghazi Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture Saleh Al-Obaidi, inaugurated the Egyptian-Libyan Business Forum, under the title: "Egypt and Libya towards integrated and sustainable development", which aims to enhance trade cooperation and economic integration between Egypt and Libya.

Mohamed Al-Raed stressed, "Activating the joint Egyptian-Libyan Chamber of Commerce is a step to enhance trade cooperation and economic integration between Egypt and Libya." Pointing to "the importance of facilitating the movement of individuals, capital, goods, and services and working to remove obstacles to support inter-trade between the two countries to increase trade exchange as before and even increase its rate due to the existing agreement between the chambers of commerce and businessmen of the two countries."

He stressed, "Egypt and Libya are working to activate the joint trade agreement signed in 1990, as well as the agreement that was signed on its sidelines on transport and passengers. As the agreement has become an urgent need for amendment and development to keep pace with developments and changes that have occurred in the global economy and the economy of the two countries in particular. While working to provide freedom of movement of individuals, capital, goods, and services between the two countries, remove obstacles, solve problems and obstacles that limit this, and help companies to facilitate the movement of goods."

He stressed, "The Egyptian-Libyan Business Forum will include all Libyan businessmen and companies from all regions of Eastern, Western, and Southern Libya away from politics to spread the benefit to all. As the Libyans have been educated by the Egyptians and treated in Egyptian hospitals and our doctors are Egyptian and our culture is Egyptian and we love Egypt and belong to it and we always strive for the Egyptian presence in Libya."

He considered that "Libya is a suitable environment for investment and not an incubator for terrorism as some try to portray it, and that Tripoli and Benghazi are safe cities just like other cities and world capitals."
