The Jordanian Ministry of Finance revealed that the financial deficit decreased by about 280.3 million dinars, to reach 1.387 billion dinars during the first eleven months of the year 2021 compared to the same period of the previous year.
According to the ministry, local revenues increased by about 1.080 billion dinars, or 19.1 percent, during the first eleven months of this year, compared to the same period last year. This is due to the improvement in the collection of tax revenues, which rose by about 682 million dinars, and non-tax revenues, which rose by about 398 million dinars.
The ministry indicated that the increase was mainly concentrated in tax revenues, which led to an increase in income tax revenue during the first eleven months of 2021 to reach about 1.127 billion dinars, compared to 1.040 billion dinars, or 8.3 percent during the same period in 2020. As for non-tax revenues, the increase was mainly due to the rise in the item of revenues from selling goods and services to reach a value of 767.3 million dinars, compared to 553.6 million dinars, or 38.6 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year.
