The delegation of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, spearheaded by its Chairman Sameer Nass, discussed during their visit to the Russian capital, Moscow, strengthening the relations of joint economic and investment cooperation between the two countries, and opening new horizons of cooperation based on exchanging the common interests of the two friendly peoples and countries.
The two sides discussed a number of proposals and plans designed at promoting economic relations, including: cooperation in food security projects aimed at developing and strengthening food and water security, in addition to discussing mechanisms to increase the volume of trade exchange opportunities, and cooperation in the fields of the chemical and petrochemical industry, agricultural industries, and the pharmaceutical industry, and information and communication technology, mechanical engineering and metalworking, in addition to working to enhance the flow of mutual investments.
The Chamber’s Chairman Sameer Nass pointed to the importance of consolidating the economic and commercial relations with more trade agreements between the two countries, emphasizing the need to increase and expand the volume of trade exchange after its decline twice last year due to the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, pointing out "the need to search for ways of economic diversification in both countries to open new paths of trade and investment movement that will benefit the business sectors in both countries."
Mr. Nass called on the Russian companies to participate in infrastructure projects in Bahrain, as well as cooperation in the areas of cyber security and new technologies such as robotics, air transport and airport development.
