Saudi Arabia is the 2nd Globally in the “Consumer Confidence Index”

Saudi Arabia topped the “Consumer Confidence in Local Economy Directions” index, compared to the 23 countries included in the report, according to the International Consumer Confidence Index for the month of May 2021 issued by Ipsos, which includes consumers’ opinions on the current and future status of the local economy, and their assessment of their personal financial conditions and investment.

The Kingdom ranked second globally among 23 countries in the general index of "consumer confidence" for the same month, in addition to achieving second place in the results of the "personal financial capabilities" index, and second place in the "consumer confidence for investment" index. The “Consumer Confidence” index counts on four main axes in its assessment: consumer confidence in “personal financial capabilities, local economic trends, investment climate, and general job security.

The National Center for Measuring the Performance of Public Institutions monitors the "performance" of international indicators through the International Performance Platform, with the aim of enabling decision makers to develop performance and global competitiveness, and to allow public agencies to monitor the performance of the Kingdom and compare it to more than 217 countries for more than 700 global measurement indicators.
