KSA Makes a Quantum Leap in the "e-Government Index"

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made a qualitative leap in the United Nations index on the "Development of e-Government", advancing 9 places in the world to be among the highest rankings of the e-Government Development Index, to be in the 29th rank globally among 139 countries.

The achievements in the ranks of the international indicators achieved by the Kingdom in the communications and information technology sector fully reflect what was included in the "Vision 2030" in building a "vibrant society and a prosperous economy" and establishing an attractive digital environment that makes the life of the citizen and the resident easier.

The Kingdom adopts many important digital initiatives. Make it deal with high dynamism and great flexibility with all the requirements of the government sector, business sector, health and educational sectors during the new "Corona" pandemic, which mitigated the effects and repercussions of the pandemic significantly socially and economically.

In this context, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawahha confirmed that "this achievement is a result of the outputs of the national transformation program and the progress that the Kingdom has reached in its transformational journey in building a coherent present for an innovative future," considering that "the leaps achieved by the Kingdom in the index, were as a result of the concerted efforts of many government agencies, and the adoption of modern digital methods by launching many initiatives and products that flow into the path of government digital transformation in the Kingdom, to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's 2030 vision.
