A report issued by the General Secretariat of the Federation of GCC Chambers, the need to find a coordination mechanism between the public and private sectors for monitoring and follow-up for each Gulf country, its goals are to work and review all the measures and steps taken to support the private sector facilities continuously in light of the consequences of the emerging Coronavirus, with the importance of making the necessary recommendations for their modernization and development; according to the stages of the virus and its implications.
According to the report, it is necessary to develop proposals and scenarios for the stage of going out of the fight against the virus to the recovery phase for private sector establishments and the required procedures according to the type of activity and the size of the facility, warning from canceling government support during the recovery period until reaching a clear guarantee stage of the ability to get rid of the effects of the current crisis.
The report concluded that the Gulf governments took the initiative to take a package of effective financial and economic support measures, which effectively contributed to protecting the economy, employment, and private sector activities, especially those with professions and small and medium-sized enterprises, from the repercussions of the epidemic to a large extent during the current period.
