A recent report issued by the research unit of the Boston Consulting Group, showed that Qatar is topping the list of the Global Well-Being countries in the world for the third year in a row, in terms of the citizen’s share of wealth, according to monitoring Qatar’s GDP and the citizen’s share of it by the end of 2019.

According to the report, the GDP of the State of Qatar reached about 192 billion dollars at the end of last year, which means that the share of the Qatari citizen in wealth amounts to about 77 thousand dollars annually.

The report showed that the continuation Qatar’s Topping of the list of the richest countries in the world is due to several reasons, including Qatar's possession of the third largest reserves of oil and gas in the world, estimated at 25 trillion cubic meters of natural gas, in addition to the ability of the Qatari economy to diversify away from dependence on the hydrocarbon sector.

It expected that the economic growth on a large scale to be driven by recovery in both the hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon sectors, which means that the Qatari GDP will continue to grow during the current year, which will be reflected on the citizen's share of wealth.
