Exhibitions tourism achieves the goals of Bahrain's economic vision

The President of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sameer Abdullah Nass, stressed that "laying the foundation stone for the new Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center in the Sakhir region, will contribute to attracting Bahrain to more international regional events, and strengthening the Kingdom's position on the global exhibition tourism map by providing all opportunities the factors that attract investors and tourists to achieve economic growth."

People pointed out that "the presence of a larger and more modern exhibition center with global and advanced technologies at all levels will qualify the Kingdom to attract events on a wider global level, in addition to providing suitable job opportunities for Bahrainis," stressing that "the Kingdom of Bahrain’s development that is witnessed in all fields will contribute inevitably, in supporting the comprehensive development process led by King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, and diversifying sources of income to achieve the hopes and aspirations of the country and the citizen alike.

He believed that "the great support provided by the wise leadership of the various economic sectors, including exhibition tourism, will serve to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's economic vision for the year 2030, indicating that Bahrain is moving steadily in the right direction in its endeavor towards diversification of income sources and doubling the role of the tourism sector in supporting the national economy".
