The UAE has made advancement in the World Talent Ranking report issued by the World Competitiveness Center (WCC) of the Institute for Management Development (IMD). UAE ranked first globally in 5 indicators, while it ranked in the top 10 in 15 indicators. Globally, Switzerland came in first place for the sixth consecutive year, followed by Denmark and Sweden. Austria ranked fourth and Luxembourg was fifth.
According to the report, the UAE is one of the most prepared countries to meet the requirements of the labor market, as well as one of the best countries in the world in terms of practical and vocational training of the workforce, as well as in terms of health infrastructure and justice.
In addition to the overall improvement in the UAE's performance in the investment and development index, many of the sub-indices under this index have witnessed a remarkable improvement and outstanding performance globally. The UAE's performance in the readiness index sub-indices is the best ever, ranking first in the world in four of them: skilled labor, skills in financial and economic services, international experience, and senior managers.
Six of the sub-indices under the gravity index have seen a remarkable performance that has made the country one of the most prepared to meet the demands of the labor market. According to the report, the UAE ranks among the top 10 globally in attracting and retaining global expertise and skills, the motivation of the workforce, the abundance of highly experienced employees, the income tax rate and its percentage of GDP.
