The Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce revealed that Brazil's total exports to the Arab countries increased by 15.1% during the first six months of this year to reach $6 billion.
According to the Chamber, 1,180.22 thousand tons of Brazilian products were exported with a value exceeding one billion dollars to the UAE market, while Saudi Arabia imported 1,419.01 thousand tons of Brazilian products worth 991.21 million dollars, while the Brazilian exports to Egypt amounted to 2,765.66 thousand tons with a value of 791.53 million dollars.
In contrast, South American imports from the Arab world witnessed a significant growth during the same period of the year, registering an increase of 11.5% or $3.5 billion.
The value of Brazilian exports to the Arab world rose during the first quarter of this year to 3.15 billion dollars compared to 2.75 billion dollars during the same period last year.
ABCC also announced that the Saudi exports to Brazil amounted to 2,433.08 thousand tons of goods valued at 1.2 billion dollars. The UAE's exports to South America amounted to 619.66 thousand tons of commodities worth 336.14 million dollars.
The total Egyptian exports to Brazil amounted to 542.68 thousand tons of goods valued at 135.98 million dollars. Coffee beans, soybeans, iron, oil, sugar and vehicles topped the list of Arab world imports from Brazil, providing strong support for the growing demand from regional industrial sectors and consumer markets.
