The organizers of the 18th 17th Arab Businessmen and Investors Conference, held a press conference at Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), “the House of Traders”, during which the organizers announced the date of the conference hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain & sponsored by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in November, under the slogan "Investing in the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Pioneering and Innovation in the Digital Economy", organized by the Union of Arab Chambers and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in cooperation with the Bahraini Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, the Arab Investment & Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman) & United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO-ITPO) - Bahrain.
The organizers expressed their appreciation and pride for the sponsorship of the King of Bahrain for this event, which represents the most important Arab economic event, declaring that the conference is taking place under the exceptional circumstances and geopolitical changes witnessed by the Arab countries, which necessitates the process of integration and the formation of an economic unit among them to meet the current stage and the challenges that arise from it, and it announced that there are great possibilities and promising opportunities among the Arab countries to improve the level of relations of cooperation and economic integration.
The Eighteenth Arab Businessmen and Investors Conference, will represent an Arab economic and investment gathering to encourage the investment in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the digital revolution in the Arab world, and to enhance the cooperation between the Arab countries in this field. It is also a key platform that brings together all the Arab parties concerned with investment of senior officials and the bodies concerned with investment and its promotion, in addition to the owners of Arab businesses and companies concerned with various sectors of the digital investment.
In turn, the event is another opportunity to reinforce this trend, the presence of a group of businessmen, economic and commercial actors and economic thinkers in the Arab countries will play a role in the crystallization of visions, ideas and projects that serve the objectives and directions in supporting and strengthening the trade and economic relations between the Arab countries and creating an economic trade bloc among them. Which has become more urgent than ever.
"Investing in the Fourth Industrial Revolution: Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Digital Economy" was selected as a key theme of the conference, based on the great impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on various economic sectors around the world. As the applications of innovative technology are increasing at the expense of traditional approaches, many companies across the world became obliged to adapt for fear of failure to keep pace, it started with the smart factories, to the holographic printing, to the artificial intelligence that contributes to automating the administrative tasks of the companies, allowing more focus on more productive activities. There is a world of promising opportunities for Arab investments to achieve a qualitative leap in the course of the Arab economic development.
The conference aims at achieving a number of objectives, the most important of which is to look at the investment opportunities in the sectors of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation, and to review a number of successful Arab experiences and to view the projects and investment opportunities available and the distinguished human resources and competencies in the Kingdom of Bahrain. In addition to introducing the Arab business community to the new investment environment associated with the digital revolution in the Arab countries, and to detect the problems facing the Arab private investments and identify the ways to address them, and to recognize the investment opportunities available within the framework of the economic visions of the Arab countries, and highlighting the role of young people, women, the SME’s and emerging companied in the Arab world in leading the process of the digital economy transformation, in addition to honoring the winners of the Entrepreneurship Competition, and discuss opportunities and prospects for cooperation and the joint Arab action in the future economic sectors between the business owners and investors in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the business owners and investors in Arab countries.
It is expected that the ministers and officials responsible for the investment will participate in the conference. The conference will be attended by Arab businessmen and their representatives, representatives of chambers of commerce, industry and agriculture in the Arab countries and members of the Joint Arab Foreign chambers of commerce.
