H.E. Mohamad Abdo Saeed, chaired the meetings of the 129th session of the Council of the Union of Arab Chambers hosted by Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman, between 17 and 18 February, in the presence of the presidents and representatives of the Arab Chambers & Federations, and Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy, the Omani Minister of Commerce.
The Union’s Council discussed the means of enhancing the Arab economic integration, facilitating the launching of investment partnerships and smart works, besides the digital project the Union is working on, the activities of the Union during this year, and a number of issues related to the affairs of Arab foreign joint chambers of commerce.
The Council also discussed the financial situation of the Union, the final budget and the draft budget for 2019, as well as obstacles to intra-trade and ways to overcome them, and to attract Arab investments with added value and attract foreign investment to exploit the natural resources of the Arab countries.
