H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary for Foreign Trade and Industry of Ministry of Economy in UAE, revealed that the Foreign Direct Investment Committee headed by the Minister of Economy formed by the Council of Ministers will take on the task of overcoming the difficulties that may face the foreign direct investment.
Al Saleh pointed out that "the committee will work on coordination between all federal and local authorities concerned with foreign direct investment, and will work on standardizing the procedures of the foreign direct investment between the different emirates of the state and placing them in new regulations in a much easier way for the foreign investor. The committee will also work on providing all the data, directories and investment opportunities available to the foreign investor in coordination with all concerned parties."
He also pointed out that "the Department of Foreign Direct Investment in the Ministry of Economy will be the Secretariat of the new Committee."
