The United Arab Emirates ranked first regionally and 7th globally for prosperity for the year 2019. Prosperity component is one of the main components of the Good Countries’ Index issued by “The Good Country”, a country-based indexing firm that measures a number of components which includes the country's openness to foreign trade, investment flows, compliance with international development standards. It is also worth noting that UAE has been ranked 15th in the world in the health and well-being component.
The UAE advanced Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, France, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan and other countries in this index which has been in place since 2015, and comprises seven elements: science and technology, culture, global peace and security, global order, environment, prosperity & equality and health and well-being.
The cities of the UAE have been part of the "Most Competitive Cities in the World 2019" Index, a report issued by “Oxford Economics”, in collaboration with “Ernst & Young”, “Conway”, and “Milken Institute”.
