A Jordanian trade delegation headed by the Senator Nael Raja Al-Kabariti, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, participated in the 7th Arab-Hellenic Economic Forum held in Athens, Greece, on 27-28 November 2018, under the theme “Greece and the Arab World: A New Agenda for Growth.” The Forum was organized by the Arab-Hellenic Chamber and attended by a wide range of Ministers and Government Officials, along with Arab Ambassadors, Heads of Arab Associations and Chambers, Members of the Arab-Hellenic Chamber and businessmen from both sides.
During the working session dedicated to marine industries and ports, Mr. Kabariti praised the advanced maritime and logistic services in the port of “Aqaba” and the leadership of the Jordanian private sector in this sector.
He stated, "Greek and GCC companies have many years of experience in this field and there is an urgent need to open trade and investment partnerships in this sector to expand cooperation and further deal with Greek and Arab ports, mainly Gulf and Egyptian ports, so that they can act as a Gateway between the Silk Road from China via Turkey and Europe via Greece.”
