Volume of Egyptian Exports Increased 13%

A report issued by the Egyptian General Organization for Export and Import Control on the indicators of the performance of non-oil foreign trade to Egypt during the period from January to September of this year, showed a significant increase of 13% compared to the same period last year 2017, where it recorded 67 billion and 630 million dollars against 59 billion and 822 million dollars during the same period last year with a difference of 7 billion and 8.8 million dollars.
According to the report, Egyptian exports during the first nine months of this year increased by 11%, reaching 18 billion and 514 million dollars compared to 16 billion and 605 million dollars during the same period last year, a difference of one billion and 909 million dollars.
In contrast, imports increased by 14 percent, reaching 49 billion and 116 million dollars, compared with 43 billion and 217 million dollars during the same period of 2017, with a difference of 5 billion and 899 million dollars.
