UAE airports have received 98 million passengers in the first nine months of this year, according to the General Authority of Civil Aviation.
Dubai International Airport ranked first with 71.6 million passengers in 9 months, followed by Abu Dhabi International Airport with 17.1 million passengers, Sharjah International Airport with 8.1 million passengers, followed by Al Maktoum International Airport with 677,600 passengers, then comes the other State airports.
August recorded the highest number of passengers in 9 months, with 12.1 million passengers. During the month of September, Emirates airports received 10.3 million passengers, whereas Dubai International Airport witnessed 7.6 million passengers, Abu Dhabi International Airport with 1.76 million passengers, Sharjah International Airport with 841.8 thousand passengers and Al Maktoum Airport with 45.3 thousand passengers.
