The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank have pledged to provide technical assistance to Sudan in the implementation of the economic reform program that the newly formed government has launched in recent weeks.
The Minister of State of the Ministry of Finance, Muslim Ahmad Muslim, discussed with the Deputy Director of the International Monetary Fund, Vice President of the World Bank Africa, and the Vice President of the Investment Finance Corporation (IFC) and the directors of the Arab Monetary Fund the steps required to restore Sudan's relations with international banks.
Muslim pointed out that "The IMF and the World Bank have affirmed their commitment to work to increase Sudan's access to social service development grants, especially in education, drinking water and health, as well as improving human capital indicators, technical assistance and capacity-building in improving revenue, the development of the collection and e-payment system and the improvement of public expenditure management. "
He added: "It was agreed with the Kuwait Fund on the importance of joint action to remove the obstacles facing the implementation of the projects financed by the Fund implemented in Sudan. It was also agreed with the Arab Monetary Fund to increase the trade financing program provided by the Fund."
