Mr. Mohamed Choucair, Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Lebanon, met with Rubens Hannun, President of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, and Tamer Fawzy Mansour, Presidential Advisor for Strategic Affairs, in order to discuss ways to develop economic relations between Lebanon and Brazil.
He pointed out "the importance of cooperation between the Beirut & Mount Lebanon Chamber and the Lebanese-Brazilian Chamber in order to lay a solid foundation for enhancing the relations between the Lebanese private sector and his Brazilian counterpart." He added, "the large and active Lebanese and Arab presence in Brazil opens new horizons for investment and increased trade exchanges”, pointing to "the need to overcome obstacles towards businessmen and facilitate the entry of Lebanese products into Brazil."
Mr. Hannun also praised Choucair's efforts towards developing economic relations with Brazil, stressing on the need to increase the pace of cooperation with Lebanese economic bodies and Lebanese Chambers in ways to serve the common interest that contribute to the development of economic relations with Brazil.
Hannun met with Ambassador Fernando Abreu, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for MENA registered at the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the headquarters of the Chamber in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
