The Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Walloon Agency for Export and Foreign Investment - AWEX, and in collaboration with Flanders Investment & Trade - FIT, is organizing an economic and trade mission to the Kingdom of Morocco during the period from 13 to 17 October 2024, with the full support of the Embassy of Belgium in Rabat.
The mission's tour will include the Moroccan capital, Rabat, and the city of Casablanca, and the discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation in many important sectors, especially the water and energy sectors. Regarding water, the focus will be on how it is managed, treated and distributed in the agriculture, food and tourism sectors. They noted that in light of the current water stress in Morocco, the authorities are implementing a policy of improving and rationalizing water management.
In the field of renewable energy and waste management, the mission’s objectives revolve around ways to help Morocco implement the Moroccan authorities’ goals of creating a diversified and low-carbon energy mix in light of the short-term challenges facing the country, as Morocco pledges to fulfill its climate commitments in conjunction with the organization of the 2030 World Cup.
This mission is a great opportunity to:
- Learn more about the Moroccan market and its opportunities.
- Meet local companies (B2B), visit ministries (B2G), the regional general office and identify business opportunities.
- Establish special contacts with the Moroccan side.
- Benefit from logistical support.
Based on all of the above, it is expected that the mission will be able to closely examine the potential of the Moroccan economy, through meetings and visits that will be held between the Moroccan and Belgian sides.
