Organized by the Union of Arab Chambers and LaBadia by DNCI, and in collaboration with the League of Arab States and Hope MCF organization, the Rational Healthy Food & Herbal Medicine Contributing to Sustainable Development Goals Conference will be held on July 2, 2024 at the headquarters of the Union of Arab Chambers, Beirut, Lebanon.

 

This pioneering conference showcases indigenous botanical remedies from Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean and Africa, paving the way for the merging of generations of knowledge with the latest scientific research. International experts will participate in the conference, who will present their experiences and visions on enhancing health through ancient herbal medicine treatments, based on the latest scientific evidence.

 

Conference Objectives:

1- To understand and consider the extent and scope of Eastern European, Oriental (Arab, Persian, Indian) and African world to enable enriching the ICD-11 traditional medicine chapter accordingly.

2- To draft a provisional list of Traditional medicine interventions in the Eastern European, Oriental (Arab, Persian, Indian) and African world to be added to ICD-11.

3- To Launch LaBadia by DNCi project, the first website including the largest encyclopedia of herbal and medicinal plants
