Japan's economy grew at a better-than-expected annual rate of 2.8 percent in the October-December period, driven by strong exports and moderate consumption.
The world's fourth-largest economy grew quarter-on-quarter by 0.7 percent to record its third straight quarter of growth, preliminary cabinet data showed. For 2024, Japan's economy recorded a slight 0.1 percent growth in seasonally adjusted GDP, which measures the value of the country's products and services.
