Economic data showed that the euro zone's trade surplus grew significantly in September, with exports to the United States increasing ahead of the US presidential election earlier this month won by former Republican candidate Donald Trump.
Eurostat revealed that the Eurostat trade surplus in September reached 12.5 billion euros ($13.2 billion), compared to 9.8 billion euros ($10.3 billion) during the same month last year.
The region's exports increased by 0.6 percent annually, after falling 2.8 percent in August. On the other hand, imports fell by 0.6% after falling by 2.7% in August.
