The harmonized index of consumer prices in the Eurozone rose by an annual rate of 2 percent in June, following a 1.9 percent increase in May.
According to official data from Eurostat, core inflation increased by 2.3 percent year-on-year in June, matching the same pace as in May and meeting forecasts. Monthly inflation in the harmonized consumer price index stood at 0.3 percent in June, up from 0 percent in May.
Core consumer prices also increased by 0.4 percent month-on-month in June, compared to no change in May.
