Egypt's Private Sector Contributes 37 Percent of Economic Activity

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, revealed the contribution of the private sector to economic activity in Egypt during the year 2023-2024 by 37 percent, compared to about27 percent during the year 2022-2023.

He pointed out that "this confirms the rapid pace of the state, to reach the participation rate of the private sector in the total investments, exceeding 65 percent. This year, it is targeted to approach a 50 percent participation rate."

He explained that "the external debt file recorded a reduction from $ 168 billion to $ 153 billion, and we have specific plans aimed at reducing external debt," stressing that "the state is moving despite all the challenges facing the world and everyone knows about it."
