Tunisia.. Annual Inflation Increases To 7.3 Percent

Consumer price inflation in the Tunisian market rose to 7.3 percent year-on-year in June from 7.2 percent in May the previous year.

According to data from the National Institute of Statistics, annual inflation rose slightly to 7.3 percent in June, after it was around 7.2 percent during the previous month. The institute attributed the rise to the acceleration in the rise in the prices of the nutrition and beverage group, which recorded a rise of 10.1 percent in June, compared to 9.7 percent in May. On the other hand, the rate of increase in the prices of the group of restaurants, hostels, and cafes fell to 9.9 percent in June, compared to 10.2 percent in May.
