Russia's Economy Ministry expects its GDP growth forecast for 2024 to improve to 2.8 percent from 2.3 percent in the new forecast, while it expects a weaker ruble and a smaller current account surplus in coming years.
The Ministry of Economy expects GDP growth of around 2.3 percent in 2025-2026, while the ruble is expected to record a steady decline to an average exchange rate of 101.2 against the dollar in 2026, compared to current levels of around 93.
