Aircraft maker Airbus has predicted that the Middle East aviation services market will more than double by 2042, rising from the current $12 billion to$28 billion, with an average annual growth rate of 4.4 percent, exceeding the global average of 3.6 percent.
The Middle East is home to five of the world's largest aviation cities, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, which serve more than 10,000 long-haul passengers daily. Airbus expects to deliver 3,120 new commercial and cargo aircraft to companies in the region over the next 20 years.
