UAE Ranked 24th Globally and First In the Arab World in "Economic Freedom"

The UAE advanced 9 places globally at once, within the "Economic Freedom Index" for the year 2023, where it ranked 24 out of 184 countries, compared to its classification in 33rd place for the year 2022, while it ranked first in the Arab world in the same index.

The UAE scored 71.6 points on the sub-index out of 100 points in government spending last year, according to data from the Ministry of Economy. As for the "Digital Global Competitiveness" report, the UAE came in twelfth place, up one place from 2022. The UAE ranked tenth in the Global Competitiveness Yearbook Indicators, 32nd in the Global Innovation Index report, and 44th globally in the “Prosperity Index”.
