The Middle East witnessed the growth of the number of wealthy people and their wealth in 2022, as their numbers increased by 15.7 percent to 21,640 thousand people, while Latin America surpassed it with only the growth rate of the wealthy below their number by 17.5 percent, while the number of the wealthy increased to 11,560 people by the end of last year, according to a report by the data company "Ultrata".
There were a total of 395,070 super-rich individuals worldwide last year, according to the World Ultra Wealth 2023 report, representing a 5.4 percent decline from the previous year and the first decline since 2018. After record highs in recent years, combined net worth similarly fell 5.5 percent to $45.4 trillion.
