Jordan's Trade Deficit Decreased

Jordan's trade deficit reached 3.966 billion Jordanian dinars ($ 5.592 billion) in the first 5 months of this year, according to the monthly report on foreign trade issued by the Department of Statistics, reducing the trade balance deficit by 2.6 percent during the first five months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.

According to the report, national exports increased by 6.8 percent, and imports by 1.2 percent during the first five months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022. The value of total exports amounted to 3.683 billion Jordanian dinars, the value of national exports to 3.415 billion, re-exports 268 million Jordanian dinars, while the value of imports amounted to 7.649 billion Jordanian dinars.
