The United Arab Emirates ranked first, in the Middle East and 32nd globally, in the list of the best countries to live around the world, surpassing Slovenia, Iceland, Italy, Poland, and Argentina, and achieving 0.85 points on the general index.
Singapore topped the world rankings, followed by Australia in second place, Denmark third, the Netherlands fourth, and Estonia fifth, while Luxembourg, Norway, Belgium, New Zealand, and Germany won the rest of the top ten.
The United States came in at number 23, and Taiwan in number 43, beating China, which ranked 61st. At the other end of the scale, South Sudan at 171st, Yemen at 172nd, and Libya at 173rd.
