Within the framework of the Arab Program for Sustaining Food Security, the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD), in cooperation with the Union of Arab Chambers (AUC), the Union of Arab Banks (UAB), and Green Hub & EGYZONE under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States (LAS), are organizing the Food Security Forum and Expo under the theme “Arab-European Partnership in Food Security”, during 14-16 July 2025 at the St. Regis New Capital, Cairo, Cairo – Egypt.

The similarities and challenges shared between the Arab and European agricultural sectors constitute a strong starting point for effective partnership. in general, the agricultural sector in Europe has numerous advantages that make it important and attractive to investors, due to a long agricultural heritage that has contributed to the development of advanced agricultural technologies and the possession of the necessary expertise to achieve productivity and quality.

Europe also has the necessary infrastructure to support agriculture, modern technology and advanced agricultural equipment. Moreover, the internal European market provides excellent opportunities for marketing agricultural products, in addition to providing export possibilities to international markets. It also has great potential to meet the demand requirements for organic products due to the fertile nature of the soil and the growing interest in sustainable agricultural practices.

Arab countries and Europe share a common interest in enhancing the ability to produce and achieve food security for their citizens which contributes to further enhancing joint Arab-European food security. This mutual agricultural cooperation can be represented in several areas, including:

· Exchanging experiences and technology in areas such as crop cultivation, agricultural water management, and the use of modern technologies in agriculture.

· Commercial cooperation in agricultural equipment and technology.

· Organizing joint training programs for farmers and researchers in the field of agriculture, as well as exchanging scientific and technical expertise through scientific visits and seminars.

· Developing joint investments in the field of agriculture and food processing and attracting financing for them.

· Promoting trade exchange in agricultural products,

· Strengthen cooperation in agricultural research and development, leading to the development of more sustainable technologies and practices in agriculture.

Date and Venue of the Forum and Expo:

The Forum and Expo will be held during 14-16 July 2025, in The St. Regis New Capital, Cairo, Egypt. This important event will bring together senior officials and business leaders from across the Arab world and Europe to discuss challenges and opportunities in the field of food security and showcase agricultural machinery and equipment.

Objectives of the Forum and Expo:

The forum will represent a platform for formulating and concluding many agreements to enhance integration between both the Arab public and private sectors in the areas of Food Security. It also aims to:

1. Strengthen international cooperation: Highlighting the opportunities and challenges that Arab countries face in the field of food security and how the private sector can contribute to achieving it through its investments and efforts in sustainability, innovation and cooperation with global partners.

2. Exchange of expertise and technology: cooperation in areas such as crop cultivation, agricultural water management, and the use of modern technologies in agriculture.

3. Strengthening investment partnerships: developing joint investments and attracting financing for Agriculture and Food processing.

4. Capacity Building: organizing joint training programs for farmers and researchers in the field of agriculture, as well as exchanging scientific and technical expertise through scientific visits and seminars.

The exhibition will also be held at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center and will include a display of modern agricultural machinery and equipment manufactured in both Europe and the Arab world, with the aim of introducing the latest technologies and machinery and highlighting the latest innovations in the agricultural field.
