The 15th Turkey-Arab Economic Forum (TAF 2024) is scheduled to be held on October 17, 2024, at the Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul on the Bosphorus in Istanbul, under the theme “Turkey and the Arab World: A Global Corridor for Investment, Trade and Technology”, under the generous patronage of the Turkish Ministry of Treasury and Finance, with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, and in collaboration with the League of Arab States, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Economy and Business Group, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), and the Union of Arab Chambers.

 

TAF 2024 will focus on the next phase of the already flourishing partnership between Turkey and the Arab countries. Over the past decade, this partnership has seen significant growth in trade, investment and tourism flows. The conference will explore new opportunities in emerging sectors such as green energy, technology, fintech, logistics and capital markets, leveraging Turkey’s strategic location in the Arab region as a crucial economic conduit between Asia (particularly China), Europe and Africa.

The forum will be attended by ministers and senior government leaders from the public and private sectors, Arab and Turkish businessmen and investors, and leaders of Arab chambers and their unions.

 

The forum will discuss several topics, most notably: building on success, emerging opportunities, geographical and strategic advantages, and a vision for the future. The forum will include bilateral meetings between the Arab and Turkish sides.

 

The forum is considered an important station for strengthening sustainable economic relations between Turkey and the Arab countries, by enhancing Arab economic integration, improving cooperation mechanisms, encouraging the exchange of expertise, and opening new horizons for trade and investment growth between Turkey and the Arab world.
