Data issued by the Central Bank showed that tourism revenues rose by 12.6 percent in November to reach $606.6 million, compared with $538.6 million in the same month last year.

The data also indicated a 7 percent increase in revenues during the first eleven months of the year, reaching $7.2 billion, compared with an annual decline of 3.1 percent to about $6.96 billion.

The Central Bank attributed this increase to a 14.7 percent rise in the number of tourists. Spending by European visitors increased by 36.1 percent, Asian visitors by 34.3 percent, Americans by about 18.4 percent, and Arab visitors by around 3.6 percent during the same period.
