The Algerian Parliament approved the 2026 budget law, which includes the largest budget in the country’s history, amounting to $135 billion.
In the draft law, the government maintained the social character of the state by allocating substantial funds for housing, health, education, and support for vulnerable groups.
The law includes promising indicators in the path toward a diversified economy, continuing structural reforms, encouraging productive investment, and freeing economic initiative from the bureaucracy that hinders market dynamism.
