Qatar’s Trade Surplus Reaches USD 37 Billion

Qatar achieved a strong trade surplus of 134.8 billion riyals (USD 37 billion) during the first eight months of the current year.

According to foreign-trade data, Qatari exports reached 222.2 billion riyals during the first eight months of 2025, while imports during the same period reached 98.4 billion riyals, reflecting continued domestic economic activity.

Qatar’s exports primarily targeted Asian markets, with China topping trade partners, followed by India, South Korea, Singapore, and Japan. On the import side, China also ranked first, followed by the United States, Japan, Italy, and India in fifth place.
