Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb confirmed that the Kingdom’s tourism sector is undergoing an unprecedented transformation, driven by Vision 2030 and major projects led by both the private sector and the Public Investment Fund (PIF).
Minister Al-Khateeb revealed that Saudi Arabia welcomed 116 million tourists in one year, who spent around 260 billion riyals — reflecting the Kingdom’s growing status as a leading global tourism destination.
He stressed that Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector has become one of the main pillars of the national economy, continuing to attract global investments thanks to its advanced regulatory environment and the mega-projects shaping the future of tourism in the Kingdom.
