The 2025 Syrian–Austrian–German Economic Forum was held at the Golden Mezze Hotel in Damascus, attended by representatives of Syrian economic institutions and businesspeople and investors from Austria and Germany. The forum aimed to strengthen investment cooperation between Syria and European countries and to expand collaboration between Syrian companies and their Austrian and German counterparts across production and service sectors.
Alaa Omar Al-Ali, President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, said the forum marks an important turning point in re-establishing economic relations between Syria and European nations. Al-Ali emphasized that the event seeks to highlight major investment opportunities available in Syria, focusing on key sectors such as renewable energy, infrastructure, and modern technology. He noted that Syria is working hard to improve its investment climate and is eager to attract foreign investments that can drive national economic growth.
