Egypt’s Central Bank recorded its highest-ever net international reserves, reaching USD 49.251 billion at the end of August 2025. This figure represents an increase of about USD 214.7 million from the end of July 2025, when reserves stood at USD 49.036 billion, marking a monthly rise of around 0.44 percent. This level places reserves at a new peak after a series of positive inflows during 2025.
Remittances from Egyptians working abroad reached record levels in the fiscal year 2024–2025, amounting to about USD 36.5 billion. Tourism revenues and foreign direct investment inflows also saw significant improvement, according to Central Bank statistics.
