Egypt's exports reach $1 billion in 6 months

Essam El-Naggar, head of the Egyptian Export and Import Control Authority, revealed that exports reached approximately $24.5 billion in the first half of 2025, compared to $20.1 billion during the same period in 2024, a growth rate of 22 percent. This led to an 18 percent decline in the trade deficit, reaching $14.3 billion, compared to $17.4 billion last year.

Egypt aims to reach $46 billion in exports by the end of this year, compared to $41 billion in 2024, an increase of approximately $5 billion.

The UAE ranked first among importing countries, with a share of 15 percent, followed by Turkey with 6.8 percent, Saudi Arabia with 5.9 percent, the United States with 5.5 percent, and Italy with 4.8 percent.
