Qatar made a significant leap in the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Performance Index, ranking 12th globally in 2024, up 21 places from the previous year. This underscores the country’s growing competitiveness, favorable regulatory business environment, and increasing openness to international partnerships.
According to the FDI Intelligence report, the number of FDI projects in Qatar in 2024 nearly doubled compared to the previous year. Qatar also scored 4.70 on the index, reflecting that its share of new FDI projects in 2024 far exceeded its share of global GDP.
