China has imposed 15 percent tariffs on its coal and liquefied natural gas imports from the United States after Washington imposed 10 percent tariffs on Chinese goods.

China's finance ministry announced it would impose 10 percent tariffs on imports of crude oil, agricultural machinery, large vehicles, and pickup trucks from the United States.

Beijing has warned that the new tariffs are a response to the "unilateral tariff increase" announced by the United States against its main trading partners, where goods imported from China will face an additional 10 percent tariff on top of the already imposed tariffs.
