Inflation Slows in Egypt's Cities to 24.1 Percent

Egypt's urban inflation slowed to 24.1 percent in December year-on-year from 25.5 percent in November, according to data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics.

On a monthly basis, urban inflation slowed to 0.2 percent in December from 0.5 percent in November. Inflation rose in August, September, and October, but eased in November and remains well below its all-time high of 38 percent, hit in September 2023.
