The total reserve assets of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) rose by 2.19 percent year-on-year at the end of October, recording 1.63 trillion riyals ($ 433.8 billion), compared to 1.59 trillion riyals ($ 423 billion) in the same period last year.
Reserve assets fell 4.7 percent month-on-month to 1.71 trillion riyals ($455 billion) in September. The IMF's reserve position fell 8 percent year-on-year to 12.4 billion riyals ($3.3 billion). Saudi reserve assets include investments in securities abroad, foreign exchange, overseas deposits, IMF reserves, special drawing rights, and monetary gold.
