A report by ADQ Holding, in collaboration with The Economist, showed that companies specializing in large language models, chip manufacturing, and data centers have seen a massive influx of investment and significant growth in recent months. However, the comprehensive adoption of AI in companies is a major challenge to achieve its full economic potential.

Data in the report, titled "Algorithms vs. Applications: An AI Investment Perspective," shows that global funding for AI saw a strong recovery in the second quarter of 2024, rising to $24.9 billion, compared to $13.3 billion in the first quarter. Funding in 2024 is set to exceed the total recorded for 2023, reflecting a shift in investor mindset towards focus on effective growth, in terms of capital.
