The price of Bitcoin rose to a new record high of more than $75,000 on Wednesday as traders bet on Republican candidate Donald Trump winning the US presidential race. The Republican billionaire is seen as a pro-cryptocurrency candidate.
The cryptocurrency was valued at $75,005.08, surpassing an all-time high of $73,797.98, a price it had achieved in March.
In turn, the price of the US dollar jumped by more than 1.5% against the yen and the euro during Asian trading on Wednesday, driven by traders' expectation that Trump will win the US presidential election.
