“Moody's” revealed that global climate investment needs could reach $2.7 trillion annually by 2030, accounting for about 1.8 percent of global economic output.

According to recent data, despite increased investment since the Paris Agreement in 2015, current levels are still insufficient to achieve the goal of global zero emissions by 2050.

The climate mitigation investment gap is expected to grow to about $2.4 trillion annually by 2030, with more than $300 billion needed for adaptation investments.

Moody's revealed that global climate losses could reach 14% of GDP, affecting emerging markets and advanced economies. Moody's predicts that Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia will be the most affected, with both regions likely to lose more than 30 percent of their economic output by 2050.
