Morocco Aims To Attract 26 Million Tourists In 2026

The Ministry of Tourism in Morocco has launched an action program to accelerate the goal of attracting 26 million tourists by 2026.

The ministry pledged that the tourism sector will continue record achievements, mainly represented in topping the list of competing countries in terms of the number of tourist arrivals during the first nine months of this year, compared to the same period in 2023.

The number of tourists at border posts reached 13.1 million during the period from January to September, representing an increase of 18% compared to the same period in 2023.

Morocco topped the list of competing countries in terms of the development of the number of international tourists arriving during the first seven months of this year, compared to the same period last year, as the rate of this development in the Kingdom reached 15%, compared to 12% for the Canary Islands, followed by Turkey, which reached 8%.
